We love the fact that it's made from soft materials with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It's available in oak and charcoal and has a variety of melange fabrics that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into place and the zips secure to ensure baby safety. It took her about 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools, with clear instructions and a video or support contact number should you encounter any issues.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib that is bedside that include the ability to attach to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to aid congestion or reflux in babies. It's also machine washable, a necessity with all the dribble and vomit that come with having a newborn!

If you're looking to keep your baby close during the first six months when they're beginning to learn to sleep independently, the CoZee is a great choice as it can also be used as a stand-alone cot, changing table or toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. While it won't feed your baby or magically put them to sleep, it will rock them to send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

It can be used either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib and is suitable for infants ranging from birth to six months. It comes with a new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel, and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It's also more flexible than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure fit underneath any bed.


Our testers loved the ease of access the side panel provides that can be flipped up and down at the touch of a button. This was particularly helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.

The side panel can be lifted by itself, too however, it's not advised as it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The safety locking system makes sure that the side panel will only remain in place when it is properly attached to the mattress of the parent. This feature is fantastic for peace of mind if you're breastfeeding and require frequent nighttime feeds.

Telescopic legs allow the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, including divan bases or beds with drawers. It comes with a tilting function for reflux babies, and a rocking function to help soothe them to sleep after a meal. It is also very large and offers excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers despite the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than other side-sleepers but it can still be easily moved from one area to another. It can also be folded up into its travel bag which is a great option for those who want to transport it. The only thing our testers have found is that the side panel didn't stretch as much as other models. This made it a bit harder to observe your baby from the bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option if you want a crib that grows with your child. It's a co-sleeping crib that is securely attached to your bed and can be turned into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. It is ideal for feeding your baby at night and enhancing the bond between you and your baby's new.

The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other models. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline option helps to reduce colic and reflux, while the zip down side makes it easy to feed or soothe your baby during the night.

The conversion kit for cots (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to start. It took us around an hour to put together and was reasonably straightforward. The only drawback was the absence of captions in writing on a few images, which made it difficult to follow some of the steps. Overall, the procedure was simple and the materials used were of high quality.

The Shnuggle Air is a great option for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had C-sections. It lets them reach out and hold their baby for comfort and feeding without leaving their bed. It's also great for those who want to avoid the stress of getting into and out of a traditional cot, or putting their baby down to sleep.

The motion of gliding was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies to sleep following feedings during the midday or at night. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies throughout the night. This was a huge selling point for our tired test moms. Although it doesn't rock, or have additional features such as a sound machine, the Joie Roomie Slide's elegant design and practicality are a welcome addition to our best bedside crib reviews.
